• Shane McMahon Interview, with The Corporate Ministry.
- The crowd chanted "Asshole" at Shane McMahon, who was wearing his referee T-shirt. Shane talked about the Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker Heavyweight Title match that would take place on the Over The Edge PPV, in which he and his father, Vince McMahon, would be the Guest Referees. Shane said if Austin laid one hand on him during the match, he would be stripped of the title, and the title would be awarded to The Undertaker. Shane said since he had trouble counting pinfalls, he would be the Guest Referee in a match between Midian and Austin that would take placer later in the show. Shane said Austin would be pushed over the edge.

• Outside of the arena, Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, and Gerald Brisco arrived in their limousine. Ring announcer, Howard Finkel informed McMahon of Shane's decision to put a Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Midian Heavyweight Title match later in the show. McMahon said he wouldn't let that happen.

• Meat (w/PMS) defeated Brian Christopher (w/Scott Taylor) with the Meat Grinder.
- Terri Runnels did color commentary and talked about having Meat as a slave who does what PMS tells him to do and having Ryan Shamrock as a new member. Meat took at cheapshot at Scott Taylor in the beginning, which let Brian Christopher nail him from behind to take an early advantage, although it didn't last long. As Ryan and Jacqueline distracted Christopher and Taylor, Terri signaled Meat to execute the Meat Grinder (Reversed DDT) on Christopher, which he did to take the win. Following the match, Michael Hayes and The Hardy Boyz ran in and attacked Too Much.

• Backstage, Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco, and Pat Patterson made their ways to the ring.

• Vince McMahon Interview, with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco.
- Vince McMahon came out to no music, but received a huge pop. McMahon said he had something to say to his son Shane, as he called him out. Shane made his way out near the entrance-way. McMahon said Shane didn't have the right to be hotshot, throw his weight around, and screw with people's careers and lives. McMahon said there would be not Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Midian Heavyweight Title match later in the show. Shane said he was in charge and the match would still happen, and if his father didn't agree, it would be breach of contract. Shane said if Austin didn't appear, he would be suspended. Shane said the only way Austin would not compete was if his McMahon replaced him in the match with Midian. McMahon said, "You got it." McMahon vs. Midian was set for later in the show, with Shane as the Guest Referee.

• Backstage, The Rock arrived.

• Bacistage, Vince McMahon argued with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco over wrestling Midian later in the show.

• Rock Interview.
- The Rock was wearing a cast on his arm, but would not be allowed to wear it in his Over The Edge match with Triple H. The crowd chanted, "Rocky." The Rock said the moment of Triple H's life was then and there, since they would go one on one. The Rock said when he last made Triple H's monkey ass famous (at Summerslam), he (Triple H) went down. The Rock talked about putting Triple H in the Smackdown Hotel, Candyass Hotel, a Rock Burger, Rock sauce, and more. Triple H and Chyna appeared on the big screen. Triple H taunted The Rock by discussing the scene where he nailed The Rock's casket with a sledge hammer the previous week on Raw is War and by saying The Rock would be force to take off his casket. Triple H said if The Rock didn't take it off, he would lose it for him. The Rock said the only thing he would lose was his boot when he stuck it up Triple H's candyass.

• Backstage, Vince McMahon, along with Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson, was dressing up for his match with Midian.

• Backstage, Lucas Swineford interviewed Michael Hayes and The Hardy Boyz. Hayes, who had a black goatee and a cane, said everyone though there would be Michael Hayes, but just to ask The Brood. Matt Hardy told everyone to watch the victims in their next match.

• The Hardy Boyz (w/Michael Hayes) defeated Goldust and The Blue Meanie with a Reversed Neckbreaker by Matt Hardy.
- The match went back and forth between the two teams. At one point, The Blue Meanie nailed Matt Hardy with the Meaniesault, but Jeff Hardy made the save. Goldust attacked Michael Hayes on the outside of the ring, but Goldust was later taken down by a flying maneuver from Jeff. Matt then finished off Meanie with a quicd Reversed Neckbreaker for the win. Following the match, The Brood's music played. A brawl was visible on the outside of the ring. When the lights returned, Hayes and The Hardy Boyz were covered in blood as a result of a Blood Bath.

• Backstage, Shane McMahon told Midian he needed to take Vince McMahon down. Midian said not to worry, it would be done.

• Backstage, Lucas Swineford interviewed The Union about their upcoming Over The Edge match with The Acolytes, Viscera, and The Big Bossman in a Survivor Rules match. As Mankind was speaking, talking about Shane McMahon, The Corporate Ministry was outside of their locker room and trapped The Union inside by putting a forklift against the door.

• Backstage, Vince McMahon made his way down to the ring.

• Vince McMahon (w/Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson) and Midian (w/The Corporate Ministry) went to a No-Contest.
- Vince McMahon immediately went at Midian, but Shane was always on his back. The Corporate Ministry then entered, took out Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, and started to beat down McMahon. Shane didn't call anything. McMahon was thrown to the announcer's table. Midian repeatedly nailed McMahon's ankle with a steel chair. Shane and The Corporate Ministry left the ring, while Patterson and Brisco attended to McMahon.

• Backstage, Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived, as the show went off the air.
